Drottningholm
Drottningholm on the beautiful Lovön is a nice destination for an excursion. Here you will take part of the first Swedish contribution to the World Heritage List.
Until 1777 Drottningholm was the royal ladies' palace, which is an interesting story to share. Here you find traces of the queen Hedvig Eleonora and other Swedish queens.

Fotografiska
Fotografiska opened in 2010 and is a home for modern photograph. There are constantly new exhibitions and it's nice to combine the visit with eating or having coffee at the cafe which has one of Stockholm's most beautiful views.

Hallwyl Museum
In the the Hallwyl Museum you get a unique insight into how a Count and Countess lived in Stockholm at the beginning of 1900. There are collections of art, antiques, guns, crockery and cooking utensils. The Hallwyl Palace was among the first buildings in Stockholm to have electric lighting, hot and cold running water, central heating and telephones.

Riddarholmskyrkan
Visit Riddarholmskyrkan and enjoy an interesting lesson in the history of Stockholm. Here you get acquainted with gråmunkarna who built their monastery in the 1300th century. During more than 300 years the Swedish royals were buried here in Stockholm's oldest building. All this and more you will learn about if you visit the church.

Skansen
Skansen is the world's oldest open-air museum. Here you find old houses preserved from different parts of Sweden. Walking around in Skansen you will also meet people dressed in costumes from past times.
At Skansen you can see Nordic animals such as elk and reindeer. There are also more exotic animals.
